Love Everyone

(listen)

Can you feel the rapture that rises from a kiss
the roughness and divinity on a stranger's lips
Sacred by sensation
Protected by the Hands
A thousand little fingers will
lead you to the promised land

You've gotta love everyone
You've gotta love everyone
You've gotta love everyone
So you can even love yourself

Sugar, sugar baby running down my spine
Dripping down from heaven
eyesight to the blind
Miracles and beauty
Sex without disease
You've got to love your enemies
to keep you on your knees

You've gotta love everyone...

Open in and let it come
Open in into these arms
Open in and let it come
Love won't do you no harm

Angels try to tell us
Because they come from God
All our days are witnessed
and the truth is never lost

You've gotta love everyone.....

WORDS AND MUSIC BY TOM WILSON, COLIN CRIPPS & COLIN LINDEN-SOCAN-1997

Artist's Note

This one was almost a Junkhouse song. I try to feel like I love everyone when I get up in the morning and when I go to bed at night (or vice-versa). Colin Cripps and Tom Wilson (who wrote this with me) try too. When we were doing the backup vocals, I was thinking about the Staples Singers, Tom was thinking about the Cramps and Colin was thinking about Richard Manuel or Curtis Mayfield. Purism is over-rated in my opinion, as is perfection. I hope all of you reading this feel loved.
